Mr Percival’s brings aperitivo fever to Australian shores. As Brisbane’s latest overwater bar, it’s the centrepiece of Howard Smith Wharves. The name is inspired by the peculiar pelican, Mr Percival, from the classic Australian novel Storm Boy. Pelicans are creatures of air, land and sea—the venue and identity embody these same three elements.

The whimsical brand was crafted under the creative direction of Anna Spiro Design, who designed every aspect of the space: a lair of patterned wallpapers, terracotta marble and arched windows. The palette was inspired by the sun-speckled Mediterranean after a storm, resulting in marbled shades of blue and green with accents of brass, bronze and seashell white.
