Gangplank's co-founder Tia Queen had the pleasure of moderating a panel of thriving creatives, as part of The Weekend Edition and West Village's event The Local Panel Series: Breaking into the World of Design.
In conversation with Kylie Johnson (Paper Boat Press), Bonnie Hislop (self-employed ceramic artist) and Ashleigh Keily (Arc + Family and el’ rosa), we discussed the hurdles and pitfalls inherent in breaking into the world of design, and shared wisdom on how to best set oneself apart in the scene and build a loyal following from the ground up
